## Does Anthropic accept crypto for Claude Pro?

No. Anthropic's billing help says "We accept credit cards and debit cards for all purchases" and rules out "third-party payment processors such as PayPal or Venmo" (read 22 October 2026). Its pricing page lists cards only. No coin and no crypto processor appears anywhere.

The official gift route is closed too: "Gift subscriptions are currently unavailable to purchase", says Anthropic's gift article, read on 29 October 2026. Sites that promise to buy a Claude gift subscription for you run into that same sentence. ## Which routes pay for Claude Pro with crypto?

Two: the Claude app on iPhone or iPad, billed by Apple, and the Claude app on Android, billed by Google Play. Anthropic's billing FAQ says that for a mobile subscription "your payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play", and payment options "are determined by the Apple App Store or Google Play." Its Consumer Terms add that the store's terms on payment, billing and refunds "will apply instead of these Terms."

## How do I pay for Claude Pro on iPhone with crypto?

Anthropic publishes no guide for moving a web plan to the App Store, so cancel any web plan yourself to avoid paying twice.

1. **Check your Apple Account country** — A card works only with an Apple Account or Google account of the same country as the card, and an App Store or Google Play subscription renews from that balance only while it lasts.
2. **Buy the matching Apple card with crypto** — Take the value from the table above on the pricing page, for example a US$25 US card. Exact crypto amount per order in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC; the invoice is valid 30 minutes.
3. **Get the code** — The code appears in your account within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Orders are processed by hand, not instantly.
4. **Redeem it to your Apple Account** — Follow Apple's redeem guide. Apple says the balance is "available only to you".
5. **Upgrade in the Claude app** — Open Settings in the Claude app and tap "Upgrade to Pro". Apple charges your balance first, then your other payment methods.

## Does an Apple gift card balance pay Claude Pro?

Apple's rules state that an Apple Account balance pays subscriptions bought in the App Store: "Or pay for subscriptions to apps from the App Store." Anthropic's help does not mention Apple balance by name, but says the App Store handles payment for subscriptions bought there. Apple keeps an unnamed exception, "Some subscriptions might not be charged to your Apple Account balance", and some purchases need a credit card on file.

At renewal, Apple tries the balance first. With nothing to charge, "your account shows a negative balance" until you add funds. So one US$25 card pays one month of Pro at US$20.00, and the rest stays for the next renewal.

## Should I buy Claude Max or Pro annual on iPhone?

Only if the card route matters more to you than the price. In the US, Max costs 25% more in the App Store: US$124.99 against US$100 for Max 5x, and US$249.99 against US$200 for Max 20x. Over a year, Max 5x on iPhone costs US$299.88 more than on the web. Pro annual costs US$214.99 in the app against US$200 on the web, 7.5% more.

Pro monthly is the only Claude plan at the same price on both. If you later move to the web, Anthropic says you cancel the App Store plan and resubscribe once the term ends; App Store subscribers also get no web promotions.

## Can I pay for Claude with a Google Play card?

Anthropic says Google Play handles payment for Claude subscriptions bought on Android. Google states that Play balance pays subscriptions on Google Play, in the balance's currency, but that "Some subscriptions do not accept Stored Value". It does not say whether Claude is one of them.

We did not check Claude's Google Play prices, so we do not say which value pays a month. Google also does not say whether a Play balance keeps paying renewals until it runs out. ## Is Claude sold in every App Store?

No. Claude is not sold in Hong Kong's App Store: its page returned an error and Apple's lookup returned no result there on 29 October 2026. Claude was listed in the other 38 storefronts we checked, from US$17.68 a month in Pakistan to US$31.74 in Colombia.

The card always follows your account's country. We do not help anyone change their account country to pay a lower regional price. Apple also requires you to spend your balance and cancel subscriptions before any country change.

## What should you not buy?

A shared Claude seat, a pre-made account or an "activation" that needs your login. Anthropic's Consumer Terms say: "You may not share your Account login information, Anthropic API key, or Account credentials with anyone else". Its Usage Policy bans reselling or providing access to Claude "through unauthorized means".

We never sell, share or rent ChatGPT, Claude or other AI accounts, and we never ask for your login or password. A store card you redeem on your own Apple or Google account breaks none of these rules.
