Each app sets a local price in every App Store storefront, and those prices do not follow exchange rates. ChatGPT Plus costs 22.99 euros in every euro storefront we read, £19.99 in the UK and ₹ 1,999 in India. Tax explains part of the gap. Apple says prices shown in every country except the US and Canada include taxes. A US price of $19.99 grows at checkout where sales tax applies, while 22,99 € already includes VAT. The spread is widest for ChatGPT Go: Norway's price is 2.57× Indonesia's. It is narrowest for the ChatGPT Pro $100 tier, at 1.33×. Colombia or Norway is the dearest storefront for all 12 plans. ## Which country has the cheapest AI subscriptions? No single country is cheapest for every plan. A card works only with an Apple Account or Google account of the same country as the card, and an App Store or Google Play subscription renews from that balance only while it lasts. For Google One plans such as Google AI Pro, it lists Play balance in "selected countries/regions only". - **chatgpt.com:** OpenAI's US gift card pays ChatGPT web subscriptions, not App Store or Google Play purchases. Of these apps, only Claude names an annual plan in the App Store. Claude Pro annual costs $200 on claude.com and $214.99 in the US App Store. Across 38 storefronts it saves a median 5.3% over 12 monthly payments ([Claude Pro by country](https://aisubswithcrypto.com/claude-pro-price-by-country/ "How much does Claude Pro cost in each country?")). OpenAI's help center says it does "not support annual billing" for Go, Plus or Pro. Every storefront still lists a second item named "ChatGPT Plus", always at the ChatGPT Pro $200 price. Apple's page does not say what it is, so we do not call it an annual Plus plan. Perplexity's site shows only an annual-billing price: $17 a month for Pro. Its US App Store item costs $20.00, with no period stated. ## How did AISubswithCrypto collect these prices? We read the App Store pages of 7 AI apps in 39 storefronts on 29 October 2026, between 20:36 and 20:38 UTC, without logging in. Each figure is the in-app purchase price Apple's page lists. - **Billing period.** Apple's page shows none. When one name carries several prices, we take the most frequent as the monthly price; it matches the vendor's monthly web price wherever one exists. - **Lists capped at 10 items.** Credit packs or extra tiers can be missing; every plan in the tables was listed. - **Not sold.** The ChatGPT and Claude pages return HTTP 404 in Hong Kong. - **Web prices.** Read on official vendor pages from a France connection. OpenAI and Anthropic publish no per-country web prices. - **Exchange rates.** One central-bank table for every currency (see the note under the second table).
